New Olbia-Eindhoven flight launches: Transavia strengthens connections with the Netherlands

Olbia, April 2, 2026. The new direct connection between Eindhoven and Olbia operated by Transavia was inaugurated today. The first flight, operated with a Boeing 737-800 with 159 passengers on board, landed at Olbia airport at 9:20 AM.

Passengers were welcomed by the Geasar Routes Development staff, who celebrated the arrival with a selection of traditional Sardinian sweets. The low-cost airline Transavia, part of the Air France-KLM group, represents a strategic partner for the development of the airport and for the growth of traffic during the low season. In 2026, the carrier increased its capacity to Olbia by 56% and brought forward the start of the historic Amsterdam connection to February.

The Olbia-Eindhoven connection will be operational from April 2 to October 24, 2026, with three weekly frequencies and over 36,000 seats offered. Eindhoven represents a strategic market and a dynamic destination, with a pool of potential travelers active even during the shoulder months.
