Kara Sardegna is the name with which Gavino Sanna, a celebrated Italian advertising creative of international renown, christened the new boutique of typical Sardinian products at Olbia Costa Smeralda Airport. He states that “Kara Sardegna” was born from the desire to represent Sardinia in modern terms, without losing the charm and value of local traditions. The symbol chosen — a decorative motif of striking modernity and almost Japanese graphic purity — has been part of Sardinian history since the 13th century and features among the architectural decorations of the Romanesque church of Santa Maria di Tergu (SS).
The outlet located in the heart of the “Corte Smeralda” shopping area, easily accessible from both the departures and arrivals zones, offers passengers and local customers one of the finest selections of typical Sardinian products and crafts.
