The Costa Smeralda Airport hosts, on the first floor of the terminal, the Olbia University Campus and the Degree Course in Economics and Tourism Enterprises — a satellite campus of the Faculty of Economics of the University of Sassari.
Having a university inside an airport is a key advantage, both for the ease of logistical connections and for the proximity to the tourism industry. The degree course is specifically designed to train professionals in the management of tourism activities, combining general and specialist competencies in business, economics, law and quantitative methods.
Within the university campus, a “Single Desk” (Sportello Unico) brings together the Students’ Secretariat, ERSU and CUS, allowing students from all degree courses at the University of Sassari to access general services in one place. The facility also offers a legal-economics library open to all users, and a dedicated internship desk for students enrolled in the Economics and Tourism Enterprises course.
